A Birthday Wish Blog Hop

First of I would like to say:

Happy Birthday, April!

What a great day to celebration Wild Flower Kids: A Birthday Wish release on  April's birthday.   Please show her some love. here

Now for the BLOG HOP!

If this is your first stop in the hop start at Jen's blog
You should be coming from Jenn K's blog.
(Yes, it's a little confusing.  There's a lot of Jens. It's like the movie Heather's)

Anyways,
Jen  Shults as out done herself again.
 These images are so cute.

I thought I would change things up and not make a card.   I used the new Bo Bunny paper I bought last Saturday on April's birthday adventure.   First, we went to lunch and had a Tea Party at Barbara'a Tea House.  WOW, was that fun and girly.  Next, we went to our local scrap booking store, and then we went to April's house to craft all day.   We had a marathon day and it was great.

My second project is a gable box from Prefect presentation templates.   It can be bought at  The Wild Flower Patch. HERE.  I wish I had the Cricut Expression then I could of made a bigger box.   I think I could fit two mini cupcakes in here or a lot of chocolate eggs.

Together they make the perfect gift.

Next stop in the Blog Hop is:  Lori

I almost forgot when you are done with the hop leave your name in the comment section after commenting on all the blogs and you can have a chance to win the set:   A Birthday Wish.  Also, don't forget to play in the WFK challenge this week: a birthday wish.

Stampinsanity's Second Challenge

Today is Stampinsanity's second challenge.

A  "Wow Factor" Challenge

(anything but a card/layout) -
Please use any SI image(s) and alter any household item to hold something...

I had a hard time deciding what to do.   I threw away all my containers I wanted to alter because they were taking up space.  Luckily, I found this binder clip. I love making these.  They are so easy and fun.

This sentiment is from the Les Coquettes Sentiment set.

Some Odd Girl New Stamps FIRST challenge

Today is Some Odd Girl's first challenge.

It's a Stash Challenge: Rainbows.
Take that how you will, just have all the colors of the rainbow represented.

I decided to give Kaylee rainbow socks.   Before my daughter became boring with her clothing she had a pair of rainbow socks and loved to wear them.  I hoping that her style will change again.   (I'm sure it will.  Many times. LOL!)

I love coloring these images.  They're fun and easy.
Some images are so detailed it's intimidating.

Anyway's I will be having a give away starting March 30.
Come back by to see what it is.

WIld Flower Kids Wednesday Challenge: Spring Cleaning

Happy Wednesday,  today's challenge at The Wild Flower Patch is spring cleaning.   Use your scraps and all your old embellishments and paper to make room for new stuff.

The card I made was all from scraps I had in a zip lock bag.

Isn't this flower cute?  I got this flower SVG file from My Scrap Chick.

Well, I thought I would take a little further and spring clean my scraps.

I can't believe how easy it is to find a scrap piece of paper now.  The old way I stored my scraps I felt like a was digging for paper treasure.  I even have a file folder for digital images.  I print extra images so when I'm ready to create all I need to do is look in my folder. I feel super organized. (I hope I can keep it up.)

  • SU card stock
  • American Crafts card stock
  • SU DSP
  • SU sentiment

Lighten Up!

This card represents the weather we are having here in California.   Last week it was rainy and cold. This week it's 85º.   No wonder I got sick.   I don't know how to dress. LOL!

Anyways, this cheerful sun is a sneak peek from Some Odd Girl Stamps.  The release date for this image and many more is March 23.

I made the cloud on my Cricut, then I used homemade glimmer mist to add some sparkle, and embossed some swirls to give it some texture.   (I love my EK Success Empressor.)  I hope everyone is having a GREAT week so far.   Besides not feeling well its going good for me.  I found out that I'm not being laid off so that's a huge weight off my shoulders.

Supplies:
  • SU card stock
  • Some Odd Girl image (release date 3/23)
  • American Crafts DSP
  • Cricut and SCAL2
  • The Greeting's Farm sentiment from My Guy Ian set

My first Sweet Pea Stamp

This week at Fussy and Fancy our challenge is "GREEN"  (the color or going green.)  Sweet Pea stamps is the sponsor and this is how I got my first Sweet Pea stamp.   I must say that I am in love with these stamps.  Although, they are a little intimidating with all the fine lines and details.  I think I did alright.  (must practice)

I had fun making this card.   I love the flowers and the leaves.  I think those paper flowers are my new favorite embellishment.   (Bonus, I'm using my scraps)  I love how the sparkle turned out.   I found a tutorial on how to make your own Glimmer Mist.  Here.  It works.  Although, I was on the search to find a spray bottle that sprayed nice.  So, did I save money probably but I still don't like the way my bottle sprays but I do have glimmer mist and several colors with the price of only one Tattered Angel's bottle (@ local scrapbook store price is $7.95+tax).  So, I'm happy.

I am so happy that it's Friday. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Together!

Isn't this image so CUTE.  The flower couple reminds me of my husband and me.
He towers over me at 6'2" and I'm 5'2".

The sunflower couple is a sneak peek from Some Odd Girl Stamps.
The release date for this image and many more is March 23.

Now that business is over.  I made this card for our anniversary this friday.  We will be married 14 years.  Wow, that's a long time.  I hope it's not too girly with the flowers.

Anyways, I'm using a different card stock.  It's American Crafts.   I don't know  if I like it or not.  I'm trying to move away from Stampin Up since I lost my demo and the discount. I'm a little sad because I LOVE SU card stock but everyone needs to move on. Right?  What card stock do you prefer?  I would like to know.

Supplies:
  • American Crafts card stock
  • Some Odd Girl image
  • SU twine
  • SU sentiment from Happy Everything
  • Scalloped rectangle nestabilities
  • Crystal Effects on the center of the flower
  • Cricut and SCAL2  to make the flowers

WIld Flower Kids Wednesday Challenge

Hello everyone Happy Wednesday.
It's time for another Wild Flower Wednesday Challenge.
Today's challenge is a color challenge.

Black, Red, and White.
Does it remind you of Twilight?
It reminds me of Twilight but I didn't do a Twilight card.
Although, I wanted too.  Ha ha!

I had so much fun designing this card. I love that border and making paper flowers. I added a little green to make is pop because I had to use this Rockabilly paper from SU.  If Stampin Up was smart they would take this paper off the retired list.   I love it. Anyways,  I hope you have a wonderful day and for some more inspiration check out the other Wild Flower Girls' creations.

Supplies:
  • SU card stock
  • SU DSP (Rockabilly)
  • SU sentiment (One of a Kind)
  • Cricut and SCAL used to make flowers and border
  • $1 bin ribbon
