Stampinsanity's Third Challenge: Make a stair step card

Today is Stampinsanity's third challenge. The challenge is to create a stair step card.   

I found the directions here. 

Well, I wanted to use this image because I never got around to use it. It was a freebie about a couple of months ago.  I tried to look for it but I couldn't find it. Doesn't  Maddie scream, "I want PURPLE HAIR!"   Cute HUH?

I thought this sentiment was perfect for this image because Maddie is holding a book.  Perfect pair, right?!  It's from the Les Coquettes set. You can buy it here. 

 My card looked too plain.   I added some buttons because I have so many and I don't use them enough.  It still needed something else so I added the bow. 

  

  I refrained. I really wanted to add flowers. Less is more sometimes LOL! 

Overall,  I like the way it turned out.   After finishing this card I concluded that I don't have enough purple supplies.   I need to stock up on purple paper and purple markers.  

More SHOPPING! How am I ever going to save for an ipad? LOL!

Some Odd Girl New Stamps Second challenge: It's a sketch Challenge!

Today is Some Odd Girl's second Challenge.

It's a sketch challenge.

Isn't it awesome.  

Here's my example of the sketch.

I love Kody. He is so cute.   This image reminds of the song Sing Your Life by Morrissey.  Why, I don't know.  I wanted to print out the sentiment Sing Your Life but my husband was asleep and our printer is in our room.   So, I had to make do with what I had.  Who doesn't need a birthday card, right?   Now, he's singing Happy Birthday.   LOL!

WIld Flower Kids Wednesday Challenge: It's a Wild Sketch!

My kids and I went to Best Buy to see the new ipad today.   I have an Apple store close but I figured it would be less crowded at Best Buy.  To my surprise there was a line to look at them. It went quick though and we played on it for about 45 minutes.    It's AWESOME!   I totally want one.  Sadly to say they were sold out.   Lucky for me though because I would have charge it!   (I know what on my christmas list this year.  LOL!   Although, I would like it sooner.)  I hope everyone has a wonderful day.  Today is suppose to be 80º.  YUCK, hot already.   I know some of you are dying for warmer weather but not me.

Super Mario Land

Yes, I am a Mario fanatic!

My Hubby says I'm a nerd.

If liking Mario makes me a nerd then I'm a nerd. LOL!

I made this for my children's godmother. She likes Mario as much as I do.  We were in a race of who can beat Super Mario Bros. Wii.  Well, I'm sad to say that I lost. She beat me.  I hate to lose.  LOL!  Anyways, I thought I would surprise her with this layout.  I am going to frame it in a black frame.   I hope she likes it.  Thanks for looking and I am so glad today is Friday.

 BTW, I want this shirt.   I loved Alice and Wonder land.

Anyways, I love these images. They remind of American Idol contestants: Allison and Adam Lambert.   They were AWESOME in concert.  I was lucky enough to see them in concert with Juanita.  I honestly didn't have any desire to see American Idol in  concert but I'm glad I had an open mind because I had so much fun.    

I made my own sentiment for my card.  I am surprised Beth didn't include this in her sentiment choices.   I thought this was perfect for a birthday card.   You can't have enough birthday cards.

I found this skull SVG on Craft edge forums.   I couldn't wait to use it.  Its a prefect accessory for this rocker couple.

 I also found the guitar on Craft edge forums.   I hand sewed the strings in to make it look authentic. Easier then it looks. 

I used Copic Spica pens in their hair to give it more depth.  I am so glad that it can be seen in the photo.   It really looks awesome in person.  ( As does everything)

 These images are so cute.  

I thought I would change things up and not make a card.   I used the new Bo Bunny paper I bought last Saturday on April's birthday adventure.   First, we went to lunch and had a Tea Party at Barbara'a Tea House.  WOW, was that fun and girly.  Next, we went to our local scrap booking store, and then we went to April's house to craft all day.   We had a marathon day and it was great.

   

My second project is a gable box from Prefect presentation templates.   It can be bought at  The Wild Flower Patch. HERE.  I wish I had the Cricut Expression then I could of made a bigger box.   I think I could fit two mini cupcakes in here or a lot of chocolate eggs.

Together they make the perfect gift.
