Changito Birthday Card

Another card for the The Pink Elephant challenge. I used Juanita's Grilling Changito for this card. I used SU cardstock and DSP. The sentiment is SU also. The bling is from Michael's $1 bin. I colored the monkey with my blender pen and I think it turned out ok. I'm not that fond of coloring with the blender pen. TFL! and have a GREAT weekend!

Team Edward! All the Way!

Yes, I am on Team Edward. I wanted to something that wasn't the usual Twilight colors. I picked SU Baja Breeze, Sky Blue, and Urban Oasis DSP. I love the color combo. Juanita and I challenged ourselves to use stuff that we haven't used in a while or that is new and never used. I got this sketch from The Pink Elephant.

Supplies: SU card stock, hodgepodge hardware, and SU stamps. Cuttlebug embossing folder and rectangle nesties.

P.S. Take the challenge of use something that hasn't been used.

Nestie Storage

After much thought, I decided to storage my nesties in CD envelopes. They are not the strongest but easily replaced and they don't take up a lot of room. This is the cheapest way I thought would solve my problem. (I would rather use my money on stamps and paper.) I used the packaging that came with the nesties and put megnetic tape to adhere the nesties. TFL!

P.S. Thanks for all your suggestions. I know I have said it before but I really appreciate it.

Blue, Blew Away Card

Third and finally card for today. This sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches was difficult for me. Why? I don't know. I just didn't like what I was coming up with. I think it's okay but I wanted to emboss it but I Lent Juanita the folder I wanted to use. So no embossing for me. Anyways, I used one of my favorite SU stamp sets: Happy Harmony, which is retired. It's just so pretty and it has great sentiments. I absolutely love it! The second challenge this card includes is Twilight Tuesday's: Use any shade of BLUE. Any Twilight fan will know why. It's Edward's favorite color.

SUPPLES: All SU products. (Wow, thats two cards!)

Inside card
P.S. Since the last two card titles were of songs I had to give this one a song name too. This card reminds me of Blew Away by Smashing Pumpkins. The title is part of the chorus and dandelions blow away so perfect song for this card. They also have one called Blue. If you're interested they are in my playlist. TFL!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

My second card today is for two challenges. The first challenge is Creative Card Crew: Girls just wanna have fun. The second challenge was a sketch from A Spoon Full of Sugar. I used SU card stock: whisper white, Melon Mamba, and Cool Caribbean(Yes, I'm bringing CC back!). DP is Imaginisce. The sentiment is SU also but I'm not sure what set it is. The main stamp is The Greetings Farm: Wild Sprout Dahlia. The bling is Colorbox and the flowers are Prima. I cuttlebugged the background and used nesties to cut the circle and scalloped circle. Overall, I like the way it turned out. I wasn't planning on using red and pink but I liked the way it looked. TFL!

P.S. I hope everyone had a wonderful tuesday.

Whole Latte Love Card

I was listening to Adam Lambert's version of A Whole Lotta Love by Led Zepplin and I had the perfect idea for 365 cards challenge: An eye for an I. I love how it turned out. It's so simple and sweet. It makes me want to go to Starbucks. Although, I will go to Starbucks for any reason. Anyways, back to the card. I found a tutorial of how to make a secret gift card holder by Paper Craft Thoughts. I had to try it, which went with Double Dutch's challenge #23: The gift of giving.

I'm really having fun playing with the new SU in colors. I used Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede, and whisper white. The Stamp set is SU Pun Fun (retired). I also used my square nesties and window punch. I got to say that I love my nesties. They are so worth the money. I sold most of my punches and keep only the special SU ones.
Also, I really appreciate everyones input on how you store your nesties. I will be posting how I store my nesties in the near future. My camera battery is dead and it needs to be recharged.

TFL!

Bugs, Butterflies, and Other Winged Things

Hello, I hope everyone that a wonderful weekend. I did. My husband and I did a TV watching marathon. We watched all of season 2 of Burn Notice. It's our new favorite show. So that left me with little time to stamp. Anyways, I got to play today and I'm happy about that. I made this card for 3 challenges: sketch is from CPS, theme is from Stamp Something: winged things, and the techinque is from 365 cards: sponging.

supplies: I used SU card stock whisper white and Melon Mambo. SU stamp Great Friend. The butterflies have little pearl bling. I love the new SU in colors. I'm having fun playing with them. TFL!

More Rich Razzleberry

I just can't get enough of this color. I had to use it again. I made this card for more challenges. Only two this time: A Spoon Full of Sugar: swirls and Card Positioning Systems: sketch. Technically, it can be for the Dutch Dare challenge also. Everything is SU except for the bling and I embossed with a cuttlebug folder and I used my nesties. TFL!

Best Wishes

My first C.C. Stamp Design digi image. I love her and I think she is so cute. I made this card for several challenges. I love combining challenges. I got the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches, the theme from Creative Card Crew: polka dots, and Dutch Dare Card challenge is to use die cuts or punches. Oh, it also works with 356 cards challenge of raise it up. WOW, that's FOUR.

Supplies: SU card stock: tempting turquoise and real red. Nesties: scalloped circle and squares and label one. The ribbon is from Wal-mart. DP is DCVW. Sentiment stamp is SU. Hair bling I got from Juanita. Prefect match.

Farm Fresh Friday Challenge: FFF2

Nothing like waiting until the last minute to do a challenge. This is the second card I made with Juanita yesterday. I wanted to use Wild West Anya. Her pony tails remind me of my daughter when she was younger. It makes me sad because she's growing too fast and sometimes not fast enough, LOL. Anyways, when I saw the Howdy stamp in A Little Somethin' set, I thought what a perfect match.

Supplies: SU Dusty Durango, Basic grey, whisper white card stock and Dusty Durango ribbon. SU A Little Somethin' Stamp Set, The Greeting's Farm Cowboy Anya and my nesties.
P.S. Thank you for the wonderful suggestions on storing your nesties.

Double Twilight Tuesday TTIC #39 & TTSC

Hello everyone, today Juanita and I stamped while our children swam. We had minimal interruptions so we both got two cards done. We both used the new SU in color Razzleberry. I love this color and was excited to finally use it. I have had the card stock and ribbon for a couple of weeks and haven't even opened it yet. I don't know what I was waiting for. Anyways,
I made this card for Twilight Tuesday's TTIC #39 and sketch challenge. I decided to give Edward a break. I really liked the way this card turned out. I think it represents Jacob and Bella's friendship. Friends 24-7 and that's what Juanita and I are friends 24-7. I would give the card to her but I don't think I can't part with it yet. I'm sure she'll understand. LOL!
Supplies: SU card stock, ribbons, brads, stamp: Friends 24-7 and designer paper Jen Wilson.

Twilight Tuesday's/The Greeting's Farm Challenge

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I had a great weekend and I went with my friend Juanita to The America Idol Concert. WOW, was it FUN! Adam can sure put on a show and Chris sang my favorite Killer's song. To view some of the pictures of the concert head over the Juanita's Blog.
Anyways, back to my card. I made this card for the TTICTGFC challenge. It's a 4x4 card which I cut out of my bigger scalloped square nestie. The sketch is from ICSKETCHES. I tried to give him some sparkle but my son said he didn't like it. What do you think? I think the glitter is a little big but that's all I had and it looks better in person.
Supplies: SU card stock: red riding hood, whisper white, and basic black, SU A Little Something stamp set, TGF stamp: Wild Sprouts Edward, brads, silver string, Designer paper: GCD studios Inc.

The Greetings Farm: Fresh Farm Friday Sketch

I'm procrastinating. I don't want to pack! So, I decided to get one more card in. I made a card that represents America: Red, white, blue, and baseball. I colored Ian and never used him. He needed to be on a card. I used all SU card stock and the star brads and ribbon are from Oriental Trading Co. I'm going to miss creating this week. I got my Edward today and I got my new SU In Color card stock and ribbon. Oh well. At least, I'll have something to look forward to when I get home. Have a GREAT week and create for me!

P.S. I also enter this card in Our Creative Corner Challenge: Red, white, and Blue. Thanks Joni

Happy Camper Birthday

Happy Monday, I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July. We did. We saw a wonderful fireworks show at the Quakes Stadium. Kids really enjoyed themselves. Anyways, my family and I are going on another camping trip. We will be leaving Tuesday and coming home on Saturday. This will be my last post for the week. The card I am posting is for my DH's uncle. It's his birthday this week and he enjoys camping also. I love playing with this set. I don't use it enough though. I used my favorite color combo: SU Not Quite Navy and Basic Grey again. A very basic card but it's for a guy so nothing fun. I hope that everyone has a great week and I'll be creating next week. TFL.

Summertime

Hello, today I made a card that represents summer to my family. We are a camping family. Although, I wouldn't say we rough it. We camp in our trailer but it's roughin it to us. The challenge @ Spoon full of sugar is Summertime. I wanted to incorporate Double Dutch's challenge of making an ATC, 3x3, or inchie. Well, I did all three and came up with a Camping theme. I have been neglecting my Stampin Up stamps and I wanted to show them a little love.

SUPPLIES: SU Card stock, SU Ink, SU Happy Camper and Under the Stars, SU Jute rope .
ATC, 3x3, and inchie

Card

BTW, I got an email telling me Edward shipped. YEAH! I can't wait.
TFL!

I'm Twilight Tuesday's June Blog Candy WINNER!

WOW, I can't believe I won. This is so AWESOME. The jewelry set is so pretty. My daughter already asked if she can have it. Of course I said, "NO" then she asked if we could share it. I said, "maybe?" But, I really won't LOL!
I bought my Edward stamp from The Greetings Farm today. I can't wait to get it. Too bad, it's a holiday weekend. That means I have to wait longer. I HATE waiting. Also, thanks for the wonderful comments. I love reading them. Keep them coming, LOL!
