My Princess Bride Inspired Card

I'm a little late and I'm sorry girls.   Yesterday was a crazy day. It was none stop from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.  We did our taxes yesterday.   Wow did California raise taxes!   It's crazy.   I also heard some disturbing news that the federal government wants to do away with deductions because their ultimate goal is to do our taxes for us. The only deduction we could claim would be the interest we paid on our house.   How crazy does that sound?   Well, let me stop because it makes me worry on the direction the United States is heading.

This is my example for the new challenge at Fussy and Fancy.

Jen Shults' Wild Flower kids SCREAMed Wesley and Buttercup from Princess Bride.
Aren't they a cute couple.   My family and I love this movie.

I made the flower and the hearts myself.   I saw the hearts on Etsy and I thought.
  I can do that.

Supplies:
  • SU card stock
  • SU DSP
  • SU sentiment
  • felt hearts
  • Foofala buttons
  • Wilton's heart
  • colored with Prismas
  • popped up with foam dots
  • Stickles on the flower.

Preview of my new craft center. For you April.

I haven't been crafting very much lately because all my stuff is all over the place.   I'm waiting for my hutch to be finished. It's real close.   It just needs to be painted but the forecast calls for rain this weekend.  What luck? It seems to be raining every time my hubby has a day off.   Anyways,   I am really excited to have this.   All I wanted was the Jetmax boxes from Michael's.  He turned those boxes into furniture.

Starting From the top:
• Little cubes are for my markers

• The dowel is for my punches (I don't have very many punches)

• The next three shelves are for my SU stamps. I really want to unmount them but I don't know.

• The last shelf is for my Cricut and Cuttlebug.

• The rest is self explanatory.

I know it looks tall but where I work/play is bar height. Hopefully, in the near future I will have it clean enough to show my craft area.

Thanks for Looking and have a wonderful day.

Wild Flower Kids Royal Court Release Day

Today is Wild Flower Kids Royal Court release day.

You can get these wonderful images at The Wild Flower Patch.

He's so cute. Doesn't he remind you of The Princess Bride's Wesley?    I  love that movie. Anyways, (totally off subject) I thought I would share that it reminds me of a DVD cover my hubby made for our home movies of our daughter.   It's so funny.

   How cute huh?

Well back to Wild Flower Kids,  today is also their second challenge:  THINK GREEN.
You can use green or recycle.   Use your creativity.

Fussy and Fancy Fourth Challenge: Dazzle Us

Today is our fourth challenge at Fussy and Fancy.  I can't believe how many people play in the challenge. We had almost 400 entries the last challenge. It's amazing and they are from all around the world.

Anyways,  I have been waiting patiently for my husband to finish my crafting hutch.   In the mean time, I have sold the cabinet that the hutch is suppose to replace.  So my stuff is everywhere.   I didn't feel like rummaging through all my stuff so I decided to create something with my Cricut.  It's not dazzling but it will have to do.  LOL!

I hope everyone has a GREAT long weekend.   My hubby has surprised me and is taking me to Las Vegas for Valentine's day.   I'm excited but I would rather him work on my hutch. LOL!  (that will be our little secret) Hopefully, he doesn't read my blog.

Supplies:

  • SU card stock
  • SU DSP (retired)
  • Bear is a Valentine's dingbat found on dafont.com

It's a Mario Valentine's Day

I totally forgot to do anything for my son's class for Valentine's day.   Yesterday, he reminded me that he needed Valentine's.   I told him that I would buy him some but he responded with,  "Mom if you make them, then they will be free."   Who can argue with that logic.  LOL!  So, I made him some Valentines.  I wouldn't say some,  32 to be exact.

I have to say that I love my Cricut and SCAL 2!  I know I have said it before. It needs to be said again because I am totally getting my moneys worth.  I would have never attempted to make 32 valentines.
I just stapled the little mushrooms to the candy.  It didn't need to be fancy because it's from a little boy.  BTW, if you were wondering my son loves them.

Thanks for Looking!
