Fussy and Fancy Third Challenge: Hearts

Wow, can you believe that we are on our third challenge time is flying.  This is our guest design team's last challenge and we will miss them and their wonderful work.  Goodbye ladies and see you in blog land.  Geez, that was sad.  I do have GREAT  news, though.   Jen Schults will be premiering her digi stamps The Wild Flowers Kids  February 3 with a blog hop.  Yes, the third of February.  My birthday.   I will be 30 something.   Actually, I will be 34.   YIKES! I'm heading into my mid 30's.  Crazy to think about it.
I love this layout.   I found it on SCS.   I woman that goes by Designs by JAX made a beautiful card that I just had to case.   I loved that ribbon technique.   It was time consuming but so worth it.   I did change the background a tad but other then that very similar.
I changed the background because I wanted to use every last bit of that Bo Bunny paper.  I love that paper (Persuasion My Sweet).   I got it from Stamp Happens (Thanks Tonya) which btw is our sponsor this week at Fussy and Fancy.  Check it out.   Her paper prices are cheaper then most I have seen.
My card doesn't have any sentiment because I'm not sure of what to put there yet.   Do I want a Valentine's card or do I want a more universal card?   I dunno?

Challenges:
Supplies:
  • SU card stock
  • Bo Bunny DSP:  Persuasion My Sweet
  • Basic Grey:  Eskimo Kisses
  • SU ribbon  (
  • The Wild Flower Kids image:   Valentine Lily
  • Cut heart w/Cricut and SCAL 2
  • button I don't know
  • colored image w/Prisma Markers
Happy FRIDAY!   and have a GREAT weekend.
I'm stamping with my Fussy and Fancy girls tonight.

Hope 2010

I feel that I need  to reconnect with my faith.  It's not that I lost it.  I think I just need it now more then ever with all the crazy stuff that is going on.  I just found out that there will probably be lay-offs in the near future in my school district.   Our governor wasn't honest on how much money the district needed to cut and we came up short.   It's kind of scary because my kitchen has the most people out of all the schools which makes us believe that we will be first.   I am also concerned with the quality of educated my children are going to get with these cuts.  It seems like the children always have to suffer instead of cutting people at the district office.  They aren't really in contact with children on a daily bases.  Anyways, I really don't want to worry because it's not going to get me anywhere and it's not going to change the situation. (I'm just venting. I refuse to worry.) So, I want to start playing in the Hope 2010 Challenge and Hope for a better future.
I am not sure of want I wanted to do with it.   I can either make a card or I can do a scrap book page.   I was leaning towards a 6x6 scrapbook page because I really want to start scrap booking again but cards are more FUN.

I didn't use any stamps (GASP!)  I know. I used mostly my Cricut and SCAL 2.   Honestly, I never saw the appeal of the Cricut. I had mine on Craigslist for the longest time but not until I got SCAL 2 did I see the AWESOMENESS of the Cricut.  It has opened my eyes.   I only have the baby bug and now I want/need the Expression.  LOL!

Well thanks for stopping by and listening to me vent.
TFL!  Tomorrow is FRIDAY!   Yah!

Hi Sweetie

Wow,   I can't believe I got a card done this weekend.  Usually my DH keeps me pretty busy but he got a new game for the PS3: Uncharted 2.  He's been addicted ever since he got it last week.  Even he is surprised that he enjoys it so much.   Usually I'm the video game addict.  LOL!

I'm been playing with my Cricut and SCAL 2 program lately and I made Minnie Mouse and the letter with the Cricut.   The font is Minnie Mouse.   Cute HUH?!

Minnie's pose reminds me of the song "All the Single Ladies" by Beyonce.  HaHaHa!  Anyways I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.   I wish I went to CHA but my wallet is happy I didn't.     It was a hard decision because I only live a hour away and I know many ladies were flying in just for CHA.    OH, well.  Maybe next year.

Supplies:

  • SU card stock
  • DCVW designer paper
  • ribbon from Wal-mart
  • Foofala Buttons
  • DMC thread
  • Signo pen

Playing with my Cricut and SCAL2

A few years ago I made my daughter a Minnie Mouse bookmark with punches.  Well, she asked me to make her another one because she lost the first one.

First Minnie bookmark above

This is the bookmark I made with my Cricut and SCAL2. Cute HUH?!

I also made this card for a birthday party I went to last weekend.  It was for a 13 year old boy.   I thought it was fitting because what boy doesn't like video games.

Thanks for looking!  Have a GREAT Day!

I'm so EXCITED!

I just want to announce that I made Wild Flower Kids Design Team.  Isn't that AWESOME news.   I will be working with some wonderful ladies.   You can check it out here.

Anyways, it rained cats and dogs all day.   It was a perfect day to stay inside and craft.  Besides going to work and school.  That is exactly what I did.    I played with my new images from Wild Flower Kids. The set is called Pretty in Pink.  I love these little stamps they remind me of my daughter.

I multi - challenged again.  (Love this word. Thanks, Beth from Stamp Insanity)

Challenges used:

Let me just say, I love my Cricut and SCAL2!  I made those little flowers and hearts.  I also made the scalloped circle.  I wish I had this program before I bought all my nesties but oh well.   I still love my nesties.

Forever Yours

Hello,  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.   I did.   Yesterday we took my son to play laser tag for his birthday.   WOW, did he have fun.    In actuality,  the whole family had fun.   Due to my busy weekend I missed the deadline to enter the Die Cuts R Us challenge.   That's okay though because I multi-challenged.  LOL!

My challenges include:
DCRU challenge:  christmas leftovers=  I used leftover Eskimo Kisses DSP
RTB challenge:   Something new= ribbon, charm, and images  (New challenge blog. Check it Out!)
Stamp Happens: sketch  (BTW, Stamp Happens and Stamp Insanity are having a stamp set give away.  Check it out, here!)

Again, I had a hard time creating.  I think its the Copics Spica pen.   I can't seem to get an even coverage.   That's why I overlapped the images.   I cover up my mistakes. LOL!  Overall, I like the way it turned out.   I really like Rosalie's hair.   Thank's for looking and have a great week.

Fussy and Fancy Second Challenge: Winter

Wow, I can't believe the turn out of Fussy and Fancy's first challenge.   We had over 230 entries.   Not bad for the first challenge.   I guess we will see how popular the second challenge is.  Well, our second challenge is Winter.

I had the hardest time with this card.   Nothing went the way I planned.  It could of went a little smoother but it turned out ok at the end.

Don't you just love that little snowflake?   I have been obsessed with snowflakes this year.   I really wanted to buy the MS punches but I resisted.   Oh, it was so hard but I'm glad I did because I made this one with my Cricut and SCAL 2 program.   I must say that I love  that program.

I made this card for a couple of challenges.   The color combo is from Die Cuts R Us Challenge,  the layout is from Twilight Tuesday's sketch challenge, and  Twilight Tuesday's Inspirational Challenge:  Sparkle.  (I gave her a sparkly shirt.)

Game Over! I mean Winter break is over.

Wow, it's hard to get back into the groove of everyday life.   I feel like I haven't crafted in months.  Although, I have a lot to do.  I gave up cooking to craft this week.  I know bad huh?  We had sandwiches one night and Del Taco the next.  I know Del Taco, Yuck! But my kids and husband love that place and I had coupons.   LOL!   (I love coupons.)

My son who loved school is now having a hard time getting up. He told me, "Mom remember when I was excited about school. Well, I'm not anymore.    Can I stay home and play PS3?"  My husband got the kids a PS3 for Christmas and their birthdays (yes I have 2 Christmas babies) but I think it was more for Justin and himself.   LOL!

I got myself this stamp (The Greetings Farm) for Christmas.   It reminds me of my son and so it was a must have.   The sketch is from Motivet's.  I liked the sketch.   I used SCAL 2 and my Cricut to create the game controllers.  Cute HUH?  I love the way it turned out.

Supplies:

  • SU card stock
  • SU DSP
  • SU sentiment
  • SU ribbon
  • TGF image
  • DMC floss
  • Nesties for oval and scalloped oval

The day is finally here.  Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge Grand Opening!   Their first challenge is New.   New can be whatever it means to you.   New Year's, new baby,  new stamps, and etc.

I chose to do a new stamp.  I bought this stamp from The Greetings Farm and I never used it.   So it's still new.  LOL!

I cased this card from Gabby she sent me a beautiful card and I love it so much. I had to case it.   Thank you Gabby for the inspiration.  I also found a wonderful tip that I would like to share.   The pink bling on my card was originally white.   I colored them with my Prisma markers.  Isn't that great you can have any color bling you want?!

    • SU card stock
    • DCVW DP
    • SU sentiment
    • $1 bin bling
    • MS  punch
