Stampinsanity's Challenge: It's an Inspiration Challenge

Hello, Happy Thursday.
Today Stampinsanity is having a inspiration challenge:

Use this picture as an inspiration to create.

Here's my example for this challenge:

I decided to sew on my card today.  I love the look.  I think it looks amazing.
I got the glass garland at Michael's in the wedding section.
Don't they look similar to Magnolia's glass garland?
I think they look like rain drops since she's holding an umbrella.

Thanks for looking.

WOW, it's Wednesday.   Only three days left. YAY!

Today is another Wild Flower Kids Challenge:

It's a color challenge.

My example:
 I used ICSketches # 64 sketch.

Of course I had to play.

Digital Tuesday challenge was to make anything but a card.
I also used ICSketches #64 sketch.

Friends Having Fun Pop Culture Challenge

Happy Monday,  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.   Mine was good but to fast as always.  Our fussy and fancy getting together was AWESOME!   We played from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.  The saying holds true,   time flys when you're having fun.

Anyways,
Today is FHF's first Pop Culture challenge:   Alice in Wonderland.
Our sponsor is Pixie Dust Studios.

Here is my example:

It's a box.  The measurement are from Double Dutch challenge blog. I must say I did have some trouble converting centimeters to inches.   So my top is a little bigger then the bottom.   OH well,  at least I tried.

Inside the box!

Aren't these cute?  I got the idea from a blogger named Mish Mash.
She has the cutest ideas.

My Alice in Wonderland set.

Hopefully, with these clips Alice won't be late like me.
 I doubt it?

Supplies:
  • SU card stock
  • Basic Grey DP
  • Pixie Dust image
  • computer printed sentiment
  • handmade flower
  • clothes pins from Wal-mart

Fussy and Fancy Birthday Challenge!

YAY, it's Friday.  I look forward to the weekend every week. Especially, this weekend. It's time for another Fussy and Fancy Tea party. Although, it's going to be low key this time.   We're ordering pizza.  We've concluded that being fussy and fancy is a lot of work and we would rather play with paper and glue.  Anyways, today's challenge is to create a birthday card but not any birthday card.   This birthday card has to have a sweet treat included.   This weekend sponsor is Sassy Studio Stamps but I chose to use an image from the Wild Flower Patch.   Jen Shult's new birthday line is prefect for this challenge. If you're interested you can check it out here.

Well, Happy Friday! I hope EVERYONE has a wonderful weekend.

Stampinsanity's Challenge: It's not a card.

Wow, it's not a card challenge.
The challenge is to create/alter a frame or a box.

Well, I chose to alter a frame.   I should have taken a picture of the frame before I altered it but I got carried away and was finished before I even realized.

I found this fun tutorial on Tim Holtz' blog on how to create a rose.  Well, I had to try it. I thought it would be prefect for a picture frame because the first one I made was bigger then I thought it would be.

Isn't this sentiment prefect?
You can find it here.

I had in mind to give it to my MIL for Mother's Day but I think I'm having seconds thoughts.  I want to keep it for myself. LOL!

Wild Flower Kids Wednesday Challenge: Paper Piecing!

It’s time for Wild Flower Wednesday Challenge 11! This week our theme is
Paper Piecing
If you are unfamiliar with how to paper piece with a digi all you need to do is cut a piece of your designer paper that is just a bit bigger than your image and then tape it down to a sheet of regular printer paper then using Microsoft Word (with the rulers) align the image so it will print where you taped your paper. Do a test print to see which direction to feed the paper into the printer and using either manual or the feed tray put taped sheet in the printer and print your image. Then remove the designer paper from the printer paper, cut and you are done.  If you are a visual person. I found a tutorial here.

For more inspiration check other Wild flower Girls:

Challenges:
Wild Flower Kids:  paper piecing

Fab 'n' Funky:  Get it all Out (I had the DP for years.  Also, a new stamp I never used.)

A few cards

Well, I got my internet back  but it's still not performing the way I want it to and my printer is not working yet.  Which sucks because I can't access my digi stamps.   Looks like I might have to get a new air port.   Anyways, I did get some cards done this week.

First I made a gift card holder to be different.   Teacher appreciation is coming and I thought this would be a great gift.   I used a soon to be released Some Odd Girl Stamps image "Mocha."   The release date is April 20.   I colored mocha with my Prisma markers and pencils.  I love the dimension it gives.

The front

The back

My second card was for  Magnolia down under but I misunderstand to challenge. The challenge was Olden Days which sepia tone has an olden day feel but you had to color the image black and white.   Not a big deal because  Charisma Cardz challenge is to make a monochromatic card.  I also entered this card into For Fun challenge encouraging cardOur Creative Corner: butterfliesFab 'n' Funky's challenge a neglected stamp (all my stamps are neglected because I has so many DT positions) Sketch is from Card Patterns #59, and One Stop Craft Challenge: things w/wings

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Stampinsanity's Fourth Challenge: It's a sketch

Today is a short post because I'm having internet issues.
I am using one of my neighbor's WI-FI to do this post.  LOL!

Let's GET Sketchy!

Here's my take on the challenge.

I colored the images with my Prisma Markers, pencils, and my NEW COPICS!   I found a tutorial (HERE) that combines Prisma Pencils and Copics together.   I love the dimension you get.

I hope I get internet soon because  I think I'm addicted and I can feel the cold sweats coming.   My hubby said, I was grumpy today.   I said, " Well yeah, I didn't sleep good and the internet is down."   BAD combo for me.  LOL!

My Crafting Space

I always meant to post my crafting space. I don't have a fancy room. I have a space in my living room which I have to share with my kids.

Remember it looked like this.

Now it looks like this.

                                  Drawer #1

Drawer #2

Drawer # 3

 Drawer #4

Drawer #5
Drawer #6 is a junk drawer (You don't want to see that or do you?)

This is my favorite part.
My rainbow of embellishments.  You would think I'd use them more.
They're just eye candy. Don't touch!  LOL!

My overall craft space.

My hubby made the whole thing.  The red piece of furniture was a hutch we got from his mom.  He cut in half and flip it to make it like a counter. It's bar height. (I like to stand when I craft)  The butcher block we got from his brother's kitchen.  He had one piece left.  (It was bought from Ikea)  Hubby lacquered the butcher block with resin.  Very easy to clean glue and other stuff off. The shelves and boxes were bought from Ikea.  The chairs I bought from JCPenney.com.  The metal boxes were bought from Target and contain some of my supplies, my son's toys, and my daughter's  crafting supplies.   As you can see I love RED.

Fussy and Fancy Sketch Challenge!

It's Friday and you know what that means........
I get to sleep in tomorrow.   YAY!

Other then that,
It's another Fussy and Fancy challenge.

Let's get sketchy with one of Mindy's sketches.

This is a Fancy sketch HUH?!
I took some artistic liberties with this sketch.  Of course I have to be different.  Right, Mindy.

I love this little Pirate Tilda.   I got this image from April.   Thank you April.
Look I gave her a hook hand.

I found these charms at Michael's. Cute HUH?!

I created the die cuts with my Cricut and SCAL 2.
I found the SVG files on Craft edge forums.
BTW, a wonderful place to find cut files.
I also created the sentiment in Word.
I love this skull.   He is the cutest.   I used him to replaced the bow.
Pirate Tilda doesn't do bows. LOL!

The white background is Tilda's treasure map. I found that on Craft Edge forums too.
