Isn't this image so CUTE. The flower couple reminds me of my husband and me.
He towers over me at 6'2" and I'm 5'2".
The sunflower couple is a sneak peek from Some Odd Girl Stamps.
The release date for this image and many more is March 23.
Now that business is over. I made this card for our anniversary this friday. We will be married 14 years. Wow, that's a long time. I hope it's not too girly with the flowers.
Anyways, I'm using a different card stock. It's American Crafts. I don't know if I like it or not. I'm trying to move away from Stampin Up since I lost my demo and the discount. I'm a little sad because I LOVE SU card stock but everyone needs to move on. Right? What card stock do you prefer? I would like to know.
Supplies:
- American Crafts card stock
- Some Odd Girl image
- SU twine
- SU sentiment from Happy Everything
- Scalloped rectangle nestabilities
- Crystal Effects on the center of the flower
- Cricut and SCAL2 to make the flowers
- colored image with Prisma markers
- Inkssentials gel pen
- The Play Date Cafe: color combo (deep yellow, light yellow, and white)
- Crafty Creations: Make your own flower
- Cricut Cardz: Spring
- Gingersnap: frosting (crystal effects)
- Card Patterns: sketch
Oh, that is a fun stamp! So cute!! I like your layout... the diagonal paper behind the image is great! :D
ReplyDeletei love this, Jennifer! the brown and yellow combo is just yummy, and the offset nesties plus the twine - fabulous recipe! i don't think it's too girly for a fella... as long as he's not the goofy kinda guy who complains about anything that doesn't scream "I'M A MANLY MAN!". :)
ReplyDeletelove it! and i can't wait for the new releases to go PUBLIC! :D
this is super cute! Definitely good for a masculine card! Dudes like flowers and these aren't super frilly and you've got great guy colors! Triple dude threat! You go girl!
ReplyDeleteJennifer!! How gorgeous is this, I think it's the perfect anniversary card!! Xx
ReplyDeleteWOWSERS!!! I love this card - it's happy and fun and just perfect! Thanks for playing with us at Card Patterns!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute!! And I love the touch of frosting for the Gingersnap challenge. As for cardstock, I usually use Bazzill or Archiver's "house" brand, both decently heavy weight. I miss SU! too! (My friend decided to let her demo lapse after all the hullabaloo.)
ReplyDeleteThis card made me smile & so did the comment about you & your hubby - I'm 5'1 (& a half!) & my hubby is 6' 2" so I know how you feel! Lovely summery feel to this card :)
